The Occasional Home Store
On September 9th 2017, I will be abandoning the kids and my husband and heading down to London with some of my friends Amy, @thisstyle_rocks and Katie @comedowntothewoods, to celebrate my birthday at the Occasional Home Store event, run by the fabulous Rebecca @malmo_and_moss, Beth @bethsmith4380 and Sally @so_sally_vintage. It promises to be a fantastic event, not least because it consists of shopping and prosecco, but also because I will be attending the workshop, run by Kay @kinship_creativedc and Kate , @mad_about_the_house author of Shades of Grey, who will be joining forces to offer a workshop which will teach you 'How to Style your Home the Modern Rustic Way' and bring you 'Ten Top Tips to Improve Any Room'. For an interiors lover like me, I can think of no better way to spend the day and so if you want to join me, you can find the details below.
This Autumn, in association with Plum & Ashby, OHS are celebrating – nature's 'grand finale' – by gathering together vintage traders, pop-up interior stores, talented designer/makers, garden supplies, fresh flowers and a feast of local food and drink.
The founders of OHS Rebecca Lawson, Sally Newman and Beth Smith were chatting at a Crouch End fair when they realised they shared a place – Winchmore Hill – a passion for vintage and a similar sense of purpose.
All three agreed that though N21 had its moments and some lovely shops the area still had space for an event that combined the best in vintage homeware, contemporary design, something for the gardeners and even more for the foodies. And they decided to bring all that to their own doorstep!
