I started writing my blog on 6th August 2017 aiming to create a community of design/interior/creative businesses; a place to go to for advice, to see how others had built businesses, to learn from them. It was a blog with a difference intended to "marry" my day job where I invest in, and help grow High Technology companies, with my passion for interiors.
Many creative businesses struggle to get off the ground, so the blog started out sharing the journeys of successful businesses so that other can see what works too. I then realised that this is also a repository of great brands and I've added new angles and the blog has grown rapidly to the extent that the blog was awarded Best Newcomer in 2017 and for Q1 and Q2 2018 is the number 1 trending blog worldwide.
With over 40k unique readers and over 100k blog page reads in my first 12 months, my blog continues to grow.
Every week I write a Business Spotlight on my blog showcasing young creative businesses. You can read these spotlights here. These brands also feature across my social media channels.
Get in touch if you'd like to feature.

I first got in touch with Nicola in March of this year, when my small furniture start up was less than 6 months old. With an Instagram account that was still in its infancy and little awareness of my brand in the marketplace, I approached Nicola in the hope that my designs might resonate with her very discerning interior style. With little expectation I was astonished at the swiftness of response I received, offering feedback, a genuine interest in my business and a willingness to help.
Nicola's large and extremely loyal following gives her enormous influence on UK interior thinking, and the very real home and life that she presents on both her Instagram account and blog invokes a genuine trust in her point of view. Being given the opportunity to put one of my pieces into her home has made a huge impact on my brand awareness. Likewise her endorsement has opened my business up to a very supportive community of other small businesses, makers and creatives, as well as a large group of passionate interior enthusiasts.
Above all it is Nicola's warmth, enthusiasm and the authenticity of her style that I have benefited from the most. Nicola simply supports things and people that she believes in, regardless of their scale or where they are in their journey. Our collaboration has been a hugely positive experience and I am so grateful for the unending support that she has provided. Jo. Coe. Living Room
